Tammy found a love for pet care early on and set her sights on becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. She began working in veterinary hospitals in 1999 and received her license in 2008.

After many years of caring for both clients and patients, Tammy also discovered a passion for leading and developing teams prompting a transition to managing veterinary hospitals, boarding facilities and an animal shelter. As a veterinary professional and pet owner, she strives to maintain the highest standards of care in a clean, safe and enriching environment.

Genevieve is the Facility Manager at The Bark Park Resort and Daycare. With a lifelong passion for animals, Genevieve brings both heart and experience to her role, ensuring the facility runs smoothly while maintaining a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for dogs in our care.

Her personal home reflects that same deep love for animals—sharing her space with cats, dogs, crested geckos, a ball python, leopard gecko, a jumping spider, and a vibrant collection of freshwater fish and invertebrates. Professionally, Genevieve combines a diverse background in administrative work within healthcare and legal support with hands-on experience in pet industry management and animal rescue, giving her a well-rounded and compassionate approach to animal care operations.

Outside of work, Genevieve enjoys tending to her aquariums, cooking and baking, and traveling. She also has a strong appreciation for plants, and one of her favorite parts of exploring new places is visiting local botanical gardens.

At The Bark Park Resort & Daycare East Sac, Julie brings decades of hands-on experience, heartfelt care, and a genuine love for dogs of every kind. Her journey in animal care began nearly twenty years ago after adopting her boxer from Sacramento’s Front Street Animal Shelter. Inspired by that experience, she began volunteering and fostering dogs through the shelter, which sparked a lasting career in the pet care industry.

With a background in customer service, management, and dog daycare operations, Julie is known for building close, caring relationships with both pets and their owners. She takes pride in creating a welcoming environment where dogs feel safe, understood, and excited to return each day. While English Bulldogs have always held a special place in her heart, her years in the industry have deepened her appreciation for dogs of all breeds and personalities.

Outside of work, Julie enjoys long walks with her dogs, tending to her collection of succulents and cactus plants, and searching for unique antiques and vintage glassware treasures.

Syd brings a calm, intuitive presence to the playgroup, backed by over three years of professional dog daycare experience and a lifelong connection to caring for dogs. Long before entering the industry, Syd was the go-to neighborhood dog sitter, known for their natural ease with dogs and ability to connect with each one as an individual.

Syd has a particular gift for working with more sensitive pups. Whether it’s a nervous first-timer or a naturally shy dog, they take the time to build trust at the dog’s pace, creating a sense of safety that allows confidence to grow naturally. Seeing those quieter dogs relax, engage, and truly enjoy their day is what Syd finds most fulfilling about their work.

Outside of the daycare, Syd enjoys a slower pace in nature, often hiking and exploring the outdoors with their dog, Quill. That same appreciation for balance, patience, and connection carries into their work each day, helping create a thoughtful, enriching experience for every dog in their care.
